| Hawai is a wonderful and talented bunch from Kortrijk, Belgium. This 5-piece – led by songwriter Kurt Debrabandere – features members of a.o. Galatasaray, Gèsman and Two Russian Cowboys. In 2004 Hawai amazed with the sparkling debut 'Gone in a minute/the never changing bits'. On the new record, entitled 'Keep The Wild Nudes Ahead', the band shows clear growth: a more mature, tighter sound, and vocals on almost every song. It's still genuine Hawai though: eclectic vs. poppy, fresh vs. freaky. Like the records, the Hawai live shows are a trip. Expect to be amazed by goofy rhythms and melodies and to be kicked in the nuts.
